Transmission Developers Inc. Names Gene Martin President and COO

Transmission Developers, Inc. (TDI) today announced the appointment of Gene Martin as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company. Mr. Martin brings 30 years of experience in executive management with some of the world’s largest and most successful companies to his new role.

His vast experience in the global energy marketplace, combined with a lengthy track record of managing complex projects, make him a perfect fit for TDI. Mr. Martin’s background includes divisional CEO and executive committee roles with EMCOR Group, KeySpan Energy, and UtiliCorp United and various management roles for SCANA Corp. where he built several global life cycle service companies.

In his most recent role as Senior Vice President for AECOM, he led U.S. Central, U.S. Northeast and U.S. Southeast Energy Operations establishing one of the fastest growing units at AECOM. Under Martin’s leadership, the business delivered to higher margin private clients, driving organic growth and focusing on turnkey solutions across AECOM disciplines.

Mr. Martin was featured in the 2006 edition of Leaders Magazine and was selected for World Generation Magazine’s Class of 2002. Gene has also been recognized by the New York Institute of Technology, Edison Electric Institute, the US Environmental Protection Agency, the American Gas Association, and by the South Carolina Governor’s office with state and national awards for business vision, revenue enhancement, operational excellence and marketing achievement.
