New York’s Clean Energy Future [Video]

Developed in anticipation of New York state’s transition from fossil fuel to clean energy, the fully buried Champlain Hudson Power Express transmission line is ready to power New Yorkers into the future with clean, renewable hydropower. And just in time, too, as the state’s new Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA) requires that New York be powered by 70 percent renewable energy by 2030. The CHPE is permitted and will be operational in 2025, delivering 1,250 MW of low-cost renewable power directly into the New York Metro area.
